Welcome Post

Hi everybody! I’m Sam Calhoun and this is my first post on my first ever sports blog. I wanted to take this first post to introduce myself. I’m 17, attend Wellesley High School, and I’m a huge sports fan, more specifically college basketball and football, NFL, and NBA, which is what you will mostly see on this blog. My favorite teams include UConn Men’s Basketball, the Boston Celtics, Bruins, Red Sox, the New England Patriots, USC football, UConn football, and Wake Forest football. However, I won’t let my favorite teams get in the way of my unbiased opinion. On here, I plan to write articles about games around the leagues, make predictions, write articles about teams, coaches, and players, and possibly conduct interviews in the future. My favorite sport to watch is college basketball, as I have been around it for all of my life. The conferences I would like to focus on are the Big East, Big Ten, Big 12, ACC, SEC, and the Pac-12, however I plan to post about other conferences too. As the years pass by, I intend to attend a college to expand my journalism and sports media skills, and hope that one day I can work alongside some of the best announcers and analysts. Some of my personal favorites are Gus Johnson, Kevin Harlan, John Fanta, Joe Lunardi, and Jon Rothstein. I will try to post as often as I can, because with school, athletics, and my social life, it’s all pretty hard to balance. As I wrap up my first post, I just want to say I’m very excited for what’s ahead. I’ve been meaning to make a blog for so long and now I decided to finally make one.
