The final day of regular NBA Summer League play has come and gone, with the Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors, Charlotte Hornets, and the Oklahoma City Thunder left to compete for the championship, which will be decided late Sunday night. The remaining teams will play a final consolation game, which will primarily just determine roster spots.

Samson Johnson
It has happened. Johnson has made his Summer League debut! The winningest player in UConn men’s basketball history came off the bench for the Indiana Pacers in a 91-88 win over the New York Knicks. Johnson played 10 minutes and scored two points, both from the free-throw line. While he had a team-low -18 plus/minus, it was a sight for UConn fans to see a beloved player finally earn minutes in Las Vegas.
Liam McNeeley
McNeeley has been dealing with a right Achilles tendinopathy, the same injury that teammate Tidjane Salaun has been sidelined with. Because of this, he has not been able to take the floor for a team with a chance to win the Summer League title. The Hornets had no problem clinching a spot in the semifinal round, defeating the San Antonio Spurs, 106-81.
James Bouknight
Bouknight has continued to prove that he belongs on an NBA roster. After a dismal stint with the Hornets, he has shined in the Summer League with the Portland Trail Blazers. Bouknight scored 25 points, including 20 in the fourth quarter. He buried six 3-pointers and shot 8-11 overall. He had a team-high +22 plus/minus while also dishing out four assists in 20 minutes played as a starting guard. The Blazers trounced the winless Houston Rockets, 102-83.
