Happy Sunday. Apologies for the lack of college football coverage this past week, there hasn’t been a lot of time for me to get articles out there. However, after an exciting opening week to the regular season, there are a lot of games to look forward to this week, including a Dolphins-Patriots rivalry on Sunday Night Football.
Green Bay Packers (1-0) at Atlanta Falcons (1-0) (-3)
I’ll take the Packers going 2-0 to begin the season. Jordan Love passed for three touchdowns, but running back Aaron Jones is out for today’s game. A.J. Dillon will fill in his shoes well, and I think Green Bay will win by a field goal.
Tune in to Packers at Falcons at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
Las Vegas Raiders (1-0) at Buffalo Bills (0-1) (-7.5)
Maybe the Madden Curse is real? Josh Allen looked unrecognizable on Monday night against the Jets, throwing three interceptions. I expect the Bills to have a bounce-back game in their home-opener against the Raiders, who are missing wide receiver Jakobi Meyers and defensive end Chandler Jones.
Tune in to Raiders at Bills at 1 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
Baltimore Ravens (1-0) at Cincinnati Bengals (0-1) (-3.5)
This might be one of the best games in Week 2, as the two division rivals are talented on both sides of the line of scrimmage. After coming off a loss to the Browns, I think Joe Burrow and the Bengals begin their home schedule with a win over the Ravens.
Tune in to Ravens at Bengals at 1 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
Seattle Seahawks (0-1) at Detroit Lions (1-0) (-4.5)
This is an underrated matchup with how talented both teams are on offense. However, I believe the Seahawks have more to offer on defense, and they’re seeking their first win of the season. It will be difficult against Jared Goff and the Lions, but Seattle gets it done.
Tune in to Seahawks at Lions at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
Los Angeles Chargers (0-1) (-2.5) at Tennessee Titans (0-1)
Ryan Tannehill had an abysmal game last week for the Titans, and I will be picking against them until they can work out their troubles on offense. Despite Austin Ekeler being out, I think Justin Herbert and the Chargers come out of Nashville with a win.
Tune in to Chargers at Titans at 1 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
Chicago Bears (0-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0) (-2.5)
Justin Fields and the Bears need to get on the right track before they face the Chiefs next week. I’m not a big believer in the Buccaneers this season, and Baker Mayfield not even throwing for 200 yards last week doesn’t make them more likable.
Tune in to Bears at Buccaneers at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
Kansas City Chiefs (0-1) (-3.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0)
The Chiefs get tight end Travis Kelce back in their lineup, which is huge for their chances against Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars. It would be rare to see the defending Super Bowl champions start the season 0-2, so I will confidently take Kansas City today.
Tune in to Chiefs at Jaguars at 1 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
Indianapolis Colts (0-1) at Houston Texans (0-1)
Two young teams with rookie quarterbacks facing off make this game intriguing to watch, but I’m expecting an ugly battle in Houston. I’m leaning toward the Texans with C.J. Stroud and the home-field advantage, but this can go either way.
Tune in to Colts at Texans at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
San Francisco 49ers (1-0) (-7) at Los Angeles Rams (1-0)
The 49ers have won eight straight games against the Rams, and I think it will be nine in a row after today with Cooper Kupp remaining out. San Francisco isn’t as injury-riddled. I think the 49ers win with defense over their rival.
Tune in to 49ers at Rams at 4:05 p.m. ET on FOX.
New York Giants (0-1) (-4.5) at Arizona Cardinals (0-1)
The Giants got embarrassed by the Cowboys on Sunday night last week. I don’t expect the same thing to happen today as they face the Cardinals, arguably the worst team in the NFL.
Tune in to Giants at Cardinals at 4:05 p.m. ET on FOX.
New York Jets (1-0) at Dallas Cowboys (1-0) (-8.5)
With Aaron Rodgers out for the season, Zach Wilson will step in as the Jets’ starting quarterback. I like the Cowboys’ chances today, and I think the offense will be more alive than it was last week.
Tune in to Jets at Cowboys at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
Washington Commanders (1-0) at Denver Broncos (0-1) (-4)
The Broncos lost its season opener against the Raiders, but face a weaker team this week in the Commanders. I think there are growing pains with Sean Payton being the new head coach, but I believe that the Broncos will be strong on offense today and avoid starting the season 0-2.
Tune in to Commanders at Broncos at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS and Paramount+.
Miami Dolphins (1-0) (-2.5) at New England Patriots (0-1)
The Dolphins currently have the best offense in the NFL, but I believe that will change after Sunday night. I like how Mac Jones and the Patriots’ offense performed under Bill O’Brien against the Eagles last week, and I think the Patriots will win by a field goal tonight.
Tune in to Dolphins at Patriots at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC and Peacock.
New Orleans Saints (1-0) (-3) at Carolina Panthers (0-1)
Bryce Young is still seeking his first career NFL win, but I think he will have to wait another week, with DJ Chark potentially out against the Saints on Monday night. New Orleans will win with defense in a low-scoring game.
Tune in to Saints at Panthers on Monday at 7:15 p.m. ET on ESPN and ESPN2.
Cleveland Browns (1-0) (-2) at Pittsburgh Steelers (0-1)
I’m taking the Steelers with a strong defensive performance on Monday night. Mike Tomlin rarely, if ever, puts the Steelers multiple games below .500, which is why I think Pittsburgh will win.
Tune into Browns at Steelers on Monday at 8:15 p.m. ET on ABC and ESPN+.
