Pac-Man is back. The former eight-division world champion will take on current WBA (Super) champion Yordenis Ugás. Pacquiao’s opponent was supposed to be unified welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr., but Spence had to withdraw after surgery for a torn retina. Pacquiao wants the WBA title back after he won it over Keith Thurman back in 2019, but it’s in the hands of Ugás.

Manny Pacquiao is considered one of the greatest boxers of all time, especially since he’s the only boxer to win twelve major world titles in eight different weight divisions. He’s not in his prime, however. The boxing legend is now 42 years old, while Yordenis Ugás is 36.

There are two championships on the line in Las Vegas tonight. The main event between Pacquiao and Ugás is for the WBA (Super) welterweight title, and Mark Magsayo will take on Julio Ceja for the WBC-ABC featherweight title.

Predictions

Robert Guerrero beats Victor Ortiz

Carlos Castro beats Oscar Escandon

Mark Magsayo beats Julio Ceja

Manny Pacquiao beats Yordenis Ugás

I think Ugás has a good chance, being younger, and has fought more recently, but Manny will win by decision.
